Wirex, a leading crypto payments platform, has signed a long-term strategic global partnership with payments giant, Visa. This marks another major milestone for the London-based company, which boasts over 5 million customers worldwide.
Expanding Reach to 40 Countries
As part of the partnership, Wirex will become a member of Visa in APAC and the UK, allowing the company to directly issue crypto-enabled debit and prepaid cards to over 40 countries. This will enhance Wirex’s ability to offer innovative products and improve the user experience for their customers.
The partnership between Wirex and Visa builds on their existing relationship. In 2015, Wirex became the first company in the world to develop a crypto-enabled card, enabling customers to buy, hold, exchange, and sell multiple traditional and cryptocurrencies, as well as spend them at over 80 million locations accepting Visa. Customers benefit from features such as real-time point-of-sale conversion, exclusive exchange rates, free international ATM withdrawals, and rewards for every purchase.
