Robert Kiyosaki, best known for his bestselling book Rich Dad Poor Dad, has once again raised alarms about the global economy. According to him, the long-expected market crash is now underway—and what follows could be even worse.
Kiyosaki warns that the current recession may deepen into a full-blown depression. To protect their wealth, he urges investors to shift away from traditional financial assets and consider alternatives like Bitcoin, gold, and silver.
A Long-Standing Prediction Comes True?
In his 2002 book Rich Dad’s Prophecy, Kiyosaki forecasted a major stock market downturn that would threaten the retirement savings of millions, especially Baby Boomers. Over two decades later, he believes that prediction is becoming reality.
He argues that conventional investments—stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs—are no longer dependable. Instead, he champions tangible assets, or what he calls “real money,” that can hold their value in turbulent times.
Why Bitcoin, Gold, and Silver?
Kiyosaki sees physical gold, silver, and Bitcoin as key hedges against inflation and currency devaluation. With the U.S. dollar losing purchasing power due to aggressive monetary policies, he believes these assets will remain resilient while fiat currencies weaken.
He also anticipates that the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury will attempt to counter the downturn by printing more money. If that happens, inflation could surge further—potentially driving up the price of Bitcoin and other real assets, not because they’re inherently worth more, but because the dollar is worth less.
As of April 6, 2025, Bitcoin is trading around $83,300, marking a modest 0.46% dip from the previous close.
Kiyosaki’s outlook reflects a broader shift among some investors who are growing skeptical of traditional markets. Whether or not his predictions play out as he expects, his message reinforces a key principle: diversify your investments and prepare for uncertainty.
