Downtime Details and Polygon’s Response
Polygon clarified to its two million followers that the downtime specifically affects the zkEVM and does not impact other chains developed using the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK). The zkEVM, which is unique in being a rollup solution, operates differently from Polygon’s Proof of Stake (PoS) system and other chains utilizing the CDK.
The root of the problem lies within the blockchain sequencer, a vital mechanism that organizes and groups transactions into batches.
