A Nigerian chemical engineering student, Anjola Femi, recently garnered praise from the crypto community for his honesty. Femi returned Solana tokens worth $14,000 that were mistakenly sent to his crypto wallet by a trader and influencer known as “The Crypto Network.” This act of integrity has led to widespread admiration and support from the community.
Incident Unveiled by Influencer
The influencer, The Crypto Network, explained the situation to his 174,000 followers on X. Femi had initially won $100 worth of Solana (SOL) tokens in one of the influencer’s giveaways. However, due to an error, Femi received 100 SOL tokens instead. Upon realizing the mistake, the influencer requested that Femi return 90 SOL tokens and keep the rest.
“Lucky sent me back 90 Solana. There is still hope in the crypto community. That is insane. An anonymous individual who is a supporter of mine, a follower of mine [has returned the 90 SOL.] Thank you, man,” the influencer expressed in a video.

Community Rewards Femi’s Integrity
Impressed by Femi’s honesty, many in the crypto community began sending tips to his wallet. According to reports, Femi’s gift credit balance surpassed $5,000 soon after the incident was shared.
Femi’s decision to return the funds contrasts with a common trend in the crypto world where recipients often keep or spend mistakenly sent assets. For instance, in a well-known case involving Crypto.com, an Australian woman only returned mistakenly sent funds after law enforcement and legal actions were initiated.
When asked why he chose to return the 90 SOL tokens, Femi cited his personal values. He emphasized that refusing to return the funds would have gone against his principles of honesty and integrity, which he holds dear.
