Arkham Intelligence has announced a $150,000 bounty for anyone who can definitively identify the creator of the Solana-based token DJT. The token surged by up to 500% on Monday due to unsubstantiated rumors linking it to former President Donald Trump.
“Fuck it, we ball. $150,000 to the first person to definitively prove the identity of the creator of $DJT,” the firm declared in a June 18 post on X (formerly Twitter). The bounty will be live for eight days, paid in 100,000 Arkham (ARKM), worth $1.56 each.
Bounty Details
The bounty notice stipulates that the evidence must be original and not sourced from the internet. “We will accept private proof for this bounty but if accepted, that proof will be made public,” the notice reads. Notable blockchain sleuth ZachXBT is among those who have submitted evidence so far.
Speculation and Betting Frenzy
Meanwhile, speculation about Trump’s involvement has spurred a betting frenzy. The decentralized betting platform Polymarket has recorded nearly $1.7 million in wagers on whether the DJT token is genuinely associated with Trump or a member of his family. Only 17% of the bets have been placed in the “Yes” camp. To win, definitive proof must be provided by 11:59 PM ET on June 21; otherwise, the market will resolve to a “No.”

The rumor that Trump, possibly spearheaded by his son Barron Trump, is behind the DJT token originated from an X post by tech blog Pirate Wires. The post cited “conversations” but did not elaborate on the sources. Pirate Wires creator Mike Solana clarified that he “didn’t speak with Trump directly” and was “just reporting what I know via sources.”
As of now, the DJT token is trading at 0.016, a 50% decline from its peak of 0.036 on Tuesday, according to Birdseye.
